David A. Marcantel, MD, FACOG
Dr. David Marcantel was born in Louisiana and spent his childhood in Louisiana, Texas and even lived in the Panama Canal Zone. He received his BS from LSU and received his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport Louisiana. Dr. Marcantel and his family were the 5th residents of Celebration when the town was built in 1996. He opened the practice in 1998 and has been serving the community for over 20 years. . Dr. Marcantel is the Section Chair of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Florida Hospital Celebration Health. This is his second time in this leadership position. He also was Director of Clinical Services at Celebration Health. His practice takes an active role in the hospital leadership and the surrounding communities. In 2011 Dr. Marcantel saw an additional need in the community for pediatric services and opened Celebration Pediatrics When he isn’t working Dr. Marcantel enjoys his time with his wife and five sons. Additionally, he is a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, volunteers for local charities and serves on the board of the Celebration Youth Football League. His hobbies include: art, travel, golf & sports.
Robert F. Lemert, MD, FACOG
Dr. Lemert was born in 1969 in Laredo, Texas at Laredo Air Force Base. After high school, he attended Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. He majored in both History and Chemistry, receiving Honors in History for his thesis on Scottish History. He attended the Virginia Programme at Oxford, while in college. He received the Senior Chemistry Award during his final year in college for his research.
After college in 1991, he accepted a position as a medical research chemist at Cornell Medical College in the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. Even though he enjoyed research, he decided to go to medical school, and matriculated at The Medical University of South Carolina in 1992. He graduated from medical school in 1996, and began his residency at The University of South Florida in Tampa.
In 2000, he accepted a job in Pittsburgh, PA with Mercy Ob/Gyn Associates. During his tenure in Pittsburgh, he was active in teaching medical students, and resident physicians. He was the director of medical education for the department. He also helped run the High Risk pregnancy clinic. He also served on several hospital leadership committees. He was a Woman's Health lecturer for the Carnegie Library.
Dr. Lemert joined Celebration OBGYN in January 2010. He lives in Celebration and spends most of his free time being an attentive "soccer father." He has 3 beautiful daughters. He attends Celebration Community Church. In his spare time, he practices chemistry in the art of gourmet cooking and home-brewing. He is an avid reader of multiple subjects and a music enthusiast.
Farah T Mahbub, MD
Farah Mahbub is originally from Bangladesh and moved with her family to Georgia at a young age. Having been exposed to poverty and a demand for quality healthcare in her native country, she has always had a passion for serving others. While in college at the University of Georgia, she realized her love for science and her aspiration to serve others were perfectly paired through the art of medicine. Farah loves to travel and explore the diversity in the cultures around the world. In medical school at the Medical College of Georgia she had an opportunity to travel to Peru on a medical mission trip against prevention of cervical cancer. This fueled her passion for women's health and she knew that she would be most fulfilled training as an obstetrician-gynecologist.
Farah completed her obstetric-gynecology residency at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, one of the largest and busiest women's hospitals in the country. Residency has provided her the training to handle complex patients within the obstetric and gynecologic fields. She has received extensive training in managing high risk pregnancies and is proficient in performing minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Farah joined Celebration Obstetrics and Gynecology in August 2016 and feels blessed to be able to continue her care for women.
Jennifer R. Vande Velde, DO, FACOG
Dr. Jennifer Velde was born in Rochester, NY and grew up 60 miles south of Buffalo, NY. She graduated from State University of New York at Fredonia with an undergraduate degree in biology in 2003. In 2007 she graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic with her Osteopathic medical degree. In 2011 she completed her residency program and started working for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation as a general OB/GYN. Both during residency and her time at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Dr. Vande Velde took special interest in minimally invasive robotic surgery. She has performed over 200 robotic surgeries during her time with the Cleveland Clinic
Dr. Vande Velde and her husband have 2 children, Willow and Vincent. They enjoy ice skating, hockey, soccer, gymnastics, baseball, and lots of imaginative play. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her wonderful children and extended family. She loves entertaining, family vacations, and volunteering when they can. Dr. Vande Velde is looking forward to starting their new journey in sunny Florida with the Celebration OB/GYN family and sharing a community with the wonderful citizens of Celebration Florida.
Kanisha L. Sierra, MD
Dr. Sierra-Rios was born and raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to a close-knit family, being the youngest of four girls. She attended Catholic School from kindergarten through high school and received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan. Later she attended Ponce School of Medicine for her medical degree and the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine to complete her residency. During her residency, she was awarded the “Recognition of Excellence on Minimally Invasive Surgery” by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
After arriving to the Hospital San Pablo in Bayamon, Dr. Sierra noticed the need for the humanization of the delivery process and the high cesarean section rate. Her flagship project was the Humanized Birth Program which focuses on decreasing the C-section rate by empowering pregnant patients who previously had no input regarding her care, by adding doulas to the OB team to work as advocates for the patient. She believes that there is no other specialty that offered her the privilege to care for women throughout all the stages of her life. Having the opportunity to be a surgeon and a primary care physician at the same time, is something that gives her great passion to provide exceptional care for her patients.
In her personal time, Dr. Sierra-Rios enjoys spending time with her husband of five years Jose. They enjoy the beach, golfing, traveling, music, food and family.

Suzette C. Boyette, MSN, ARNP
Suzette C. Boyette, MSN, ARNP is a nurse practitioner with her master's degree in women's health from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida since 1996. In 2005, she continued her training the areas of alternative medicine modalities of qigong, reiki and energy medicine. Suzette is a certified Energy Medicine Practitioner, a Reiki Master/Teacher and a certified qigong instructor. What makes her practices unique is that she integrates her skills from both worlds- traditional medicine and complimentary/alternative medicine to provide the best care possible. She specializes in integrative, holistic care in family planning, well women exams from adolescence to menopause, stress management as well as minor gynecological problems.
Suzette is very active in the community as Adjunct Faculty at UCF's College of Nursing, parenting educator, podcaster, speaker and writer. She enjoys drawing upon these experiences to provide comprehensive care to balance body, mind and spirit with each client.
Born into a military family, Suzette grew up in Florida, California and Philadelphia. So, Suzette is happy to have planted her roots for the past 11 years with her husband and three children in East Orlando.
Michelle Perez, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Michelle Perez R.D.M.S. M.H.Sc. Michelle is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and continued on to obtain a Master of Health Science Degree. She currently holds credentials in obstetrics, gynecology and abdominal sonography. She received a certificate of competence from the Maternal Fetal Medicine Foundation in the following areas Nuchal Transluceny-11-13 scans, Nasal Bone and Cervical Length Assessment. She has been in the field for over 13 years. She is an active member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers since 1998.
Michelle was born and raised in Mid-Michigan. She is married with 3 children and currently resides in Orlando.
